Alley to the monasteryoil painting 45 x 60 cm, 2026The alley leading to the monastery on Mount Matky Boží near Králíky was established in 1705 as part of the Baroque composition of the pilgrimage site and to line the Way of the Cross leading from the edge of the town of Králíky directly to the pilgrimage church. It consists of lime trees, maples, ash trees, and rowans, which accompany pilgrims to the top of the hill. In 2023, this alley was declared the most popular alley in the Czech Republic.

Knight's Pathoil painting 45 x 60 cm, 2025The Knight's Path is a double row of maple trees, intended for pedestrians in one row and carriages in the other, planted at the beginning of the 20th century by the Berchtold family. It connects Buchlovice with Buchlov Castle. After the family's property was nationalized, the avenue was neglected for a long time before being restored in 2012–2013 by the Czech Union for Nature Conservation, which cleaned it up and planted new maple trees.

Osečná alleyoil painting 45 x 60 cm, 2025There are countless alleys and tree-lined roads in the Czech Republic that we don't even notice when driving along the roads, yet they open up views of striking landmarks. This inconspicuous alley near Osečná is an example of such a place – it was probably not planted by any important figure and does not have a famous name, yet it offers a breathtaking view of the historic town of Osečná and the iconic Ještěd, a landmark of the Liberec Region.

Lidice Linden Tree Alleyoil painting 45 x 60 cm, 2025The linden tree alley in Lidice was planted after 1947 during the construction of the new village as part of the main street leading to the memorial site of the destroyed village. It consists of linden trees, which have become a distinctive landscape and urban feature of the restored Lidice. The alley is a permanent reminder of the tragedy of June 1942, when the original village was exterminated by the Nazis.

Alley to St. Anneoil painting 45 x 60 cm, 2025The alley to St. Anne near Horšovský Týn was probably planted in the 18th century on the initiative of the Trauttmansdorff family as a linden pilgrimage route leading to the Holy Sepulchre and the Church of St. Anne on Vršíček, which had already undergone Baroque modifications at that time. Many of the lime trees are over 250 years old, while the pilgrimage site itself dates back to 1507, when, according to legend, St. Anne appeared at this place.

Alley to Helloil painting 45 x 60 cm, 2025From the park of Zahrádky Castle, the path descends into a rocky valley called Peklo (Hell), lined with greenery that may have been created during romanticizing modifications in the 19th century. The trees form a natural frame that opens up a mysterious entrance to the valley – an effect that Count Kounic himself could not have predicted. Storms and heavy rain enliven the path, transforming it into a wild stream flowing down into the rocky Peklo.

Freedom Alleyoil painting 45 x 60 cm, 2025I helped plant the Freedom Alley near the Vojna camp near Příbram in 2021 as a symbolic reminder of the victims of oppression and, at the same time, a symbol of hope for a better future. Young trees line the path leading to the former labor camp, continuing the tradition of alleys as places of remembrance and connections in the landscape. The new planting connects the solemn significance of the place with its landscape and natural value, thus becoming a living memorial.

Circular Alleyoil painting 45 x 60 cm, 2025The circular alley in the castle park in Veltrusy was created in the 18th century as part of the Baroque landscape composition of the Chotek family. With its circular layout, it connects the main axes of the park and opens up views of the castle and surrounding pavilions. Lined with old oaks and lime trees, the avenue is not only a historical work of garden architecture, but also a living biotope that still combines the aesthetics of Baroque design with the beauty and power of nature.

Sakura Alleyoil painting 45 x 60 cm, 2025The sakura alley near Chudenice was planted in 1987–1988 and consists of 60 sakura trees. Each tree was symbolically planted by the parents of children born in that year, which gave the alley a personal and community dimension. The alley leads from a 19th-century chapel to a hill on which stands the pilgrimage site of Bolfánek with a chapel and the remains of a church serving as a lookout tower. In May, the alley blossoms and attracts not only bees but also many people who come to feast their eyes and souls.

Valdštejn Alleyoil painting 45 x 60 cm, 2025The Valdštejn Alley in Jičín was established between 1630 and 1634 on the initiative of Duke Albrecht von Wallenstein as part of a Baroque landscape composition. It connected the Wallenstein Castle in the city center with the Wallenstein Loggia in Libosad Park. The alley was planted at once as a four-row alley of small-leaved lime trees, and according to legend, the army assisted in the planting. The alley is approximately 1,825 meters long and today has around 986 trees.

Chestnut Alleyoil painting 45 x 60 cm, 2025The chestnut alley in Rožďalovice was planted at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries with the permission of the Lobkowicz family. The purpose of the alley was to connect the cemetery with the town center, which is dominated by the Baroque Church of St. Havel. The planting of the alley and the subsequent construction of the road definitively separated the castle from the castle gardens. A large part of the alley later had to give way to the expansion of the village, but some trees remained, reminding us of the original composition and significance of this space.

Imperial Alleyoil painting 45 x 60 cm, 2025The Imperial Alley in Jáchymov was planted between 1898 and 1903 in honor of the 50th anniversary of the reign of Emperor Franz Joseph I as part of the then-popular trend of planting alleys supported by imperial tradition. The approximately 900-meter-long tree-lined alley consists mainly of linden trees, some of which reach a circumference of over 200 cm, and lines the road cut into the hill overlooking the spa town.

Alley Jansky vrchoil painting 45 x 60 cm, 2025The Jánský vrch alley near Javorník was created around 1840 during the expansion of the English park surrounding the Jánský vrch chateau. The tree-lined alley borders the path leading from the park to a nearby chapel, which was built in 1893 by Mrs. Lorencová as a token of gratitude for her son's survival. The alley, consisting mainly of maple trees, forms a gateway to the Rychlebské Mountains.
